cl(chlorine) forms following compounds  when reacted with other elements

Na+cl⇒Nacl

Nacl (sodium chloride also known as salt)

H2+2cl⇒2Hcl

Hcl(hydrgon chloride)

ca +2cl⇒cacl2

cacl2 (calcium chloride)

The following will be the example:

• CCl4 – CH4 + 4Cl2 will give us CCL4 + 4HCl

This is the reaction for the carbon which chloride

• For the carbon dioxide formation, you need to react carbon with oxygen hence,

2 CO + O2 will give 2CO2

There can be a different compounds such as carbon sulphur and also carbon dioxide and water deepening on the reaction.
