The compound made by carbon is in form of covalent bond because he neither donate nor except electron . It shares 4 electron with other element

Carbon forms a covalent compound it doesn’t transfer electron but shares electrons with other atoms of carbon or some other monovalent element . It has a valency of 4 and it can’t lose it or gain 4 so it forms covalent bond . Hope it helps you mate !!
