When carbon monoxide combines with the Haemoglobin present in the blood, it forms Carboxyhaemoglobin which is very stable compound and cannot be removed if once entered your lungs. Therefore it is adviced not to stay near vehicles for longer time as it releases Carbon monoxide an Extremely poisonous gas
