Carbon neither gives electron nor takes the electron ,then how does it form octet and what is tje type of bond formed

Carbon normally forms octet by sharing of electrons. This is normally achieved through the process known as hybridization where carbon forms four hybrid orbitals with single electron each. The other atom may then produces a single electron to form a single covalent bond comprising of two electrons. For in instance the formation of methane CH4.

So the type of bond formed by carbon as a result of the shairing of electrons is Covalent bond.
