carbon tetrachloride is not a good conductor of electricity. give reason to justify

because carbon has 4 electrons and it's all 4 electrons are used up to form bond.so no more electrons are left .hence no electron are free to move so carbon doesn't conduct electricity

vishalkumar14: I think you should clear your answer more because graphite is also carbon and a good conductor of electricity

carbon tetrachloride exist as covalent molecules. it is neither solid nor liquid state are any free ions or electron available to act as a charge carrier so it is non conductor of electricity in both states
