Carbon tetrachloride though a liquid does not conduct electricity. Why??

All liquids don't  conduct electricity. Neither carbon nor chlorine conducts electricity hence CCl4 doesn't conduct electricity.It consists of covalently bonded atoms and hence lacks ions due to which it is not able to conduct electricity.

carbon tetra chloride  is made up of  individually  covalently bonded  molecules CCI4  there are no charged particles  that  could conduct electricity.all liquids doesnot conduct  electricity.
