because in carboxylic acid there r 2 oxygen atom attach wth double bond show resonance nd make these electrons rich

Carboxylic acid doesnt show nucleophilic substitution reaction as because of presence of lone pair atoms on O atom of OH group decreases electrophilic character of carbonyl carbon by resonance..
Hence partial positive charge decreases and therefore it doesnt show nucleophilic substitution reactions..
