Compositions:

Carbon = 55.8%

Hydrogen = 7%

Oxygen = 37.2%

Moles:

Carbon = 55.8/12

= 4.65

Hydrogen = 7/1

= 7

Oxygen = 37.2/16

= 2.32

Simplest Ratio:

Carbon = 4.65/2.32

= 2

Hydrogen = 7/2.32

= 3

Oxygen = 2.32/2.32

= 1

The Empirical Formula is: C₂H₃O.
