probability= situation/total
=25 even no cards
50 total no
so, 25/50=1/2 is the probability

Heya !!!

All possible outcomes are 2 , 3 , 4........51

Here,

Tn = 51

A + (N-1) × D = 51

2 + (N-1) × 1 = 51

2 + N -1 = 51

N = 51-1

N = 50

Number of all possible outcomes = 50

Let E be the event that the number on the drawn card is an Even number.

Then,

The favourable outcomes are 2, 4 , 6 ,..........50

Clearly , these numbers form an AP with

A = 2 and D = 2

Let the number of these numbers be N.

Then,

Tn = 50

A + ( N-1) × D = 50

2 + (N -1) × 2 = 50

2 + 2N -2 = 50

2N = 50

2N = 50

N = 50/2 = 25

So, the number of favourable outcomes = 25

Therefore,

P( Getting an even number ) = Favourable outcomes/Possible outcomes

=> 25/50 = 1/2
