Carly is 3 times her brother's age. The sum of their ages is no more than 24 years. Enter an inequality that can be used to represent this situation in the box, where x represents Carly's brother's age.

Solution :-

Let the age of Carly's brother be x years.

Then, Carly's age will be 3x

Sum of both of their ages is 24 years

So, the equation will be as follows.

⇒ x + 3x = 24

⇒ 4x = 24

⇒ x = 24/4

⇒ x = 6 years

So, age of Carly's brother is 6 years and Carly's age is 6*3 = 18 years.
