Carol has two cats, Rover and Bobo. Rover eats 3/4 of a can of cat food each day and Bobo eats 1/2 of a can of cat food each day. Cat food costs $5.00 for three cans. It is only sold in 3 can packs.

How much does it cost Carol for a 60-day supply of cat food for her two cats?

Rover eats cat food = 0.75 can

Bono eats cat food = 0.5 can

Consumption for both cats =

0.75+0.5 = 1.25

For 60 days both cats consume =

Number of cans in 60 days =

1.25×60=75 cans

Now Cans are sold in a pack of 3.

Number of can packs required for 60 days = 75/3 =25 can packs

Now Cost for each Can packs(3 can) = $5.00

Price for 25 can packs (75 cans) = 5×25= $125.

Step-by-step explanation:

First add both supply for one day, then multiply with 60 to get the number of cans they can use in 60 days and other processes are given in the pic.
