carol age = (x+2) years .

carol' father = 2(x+2)

charles' brother = x/2

2(x+2) - x/2 = 32

4x + 8 - x = 64

3x = 56

x = 56/3 years = [18 years , 8 months ] = charles age .

carol's age = 2+56/3 = (62/3) years = 20 years 8 months .
