Time taken by Caroline = 89 mins

Time taken by Sarah = 2 hrs = 120 mins

∴ Ratio of the time taken by Caroline and Sarah respectively = 89 : 120

∵ The two figures share no common factor;

∴ The numbers cannot be reduced to their lowest terms.

Hence, the ratio is 89 : 120

Ans) The ratio of the time taken by Caroline and Sarah to mark exam papers respectively = 89 : 120
