  • Nomenclature of Plants is done by International Code of Botanical Nomenclature (ICBN).

  • Nomenclature of animals is done by The International Code of Zoological Nomenclature (ICZN) .

  • Scientific name of each organisms has two components first part is the Genus to which the species belongs and the second part is the species name of the organism.

  • This system is called The Binomial nomenclature and was given by Carolus Linnaeus 1750s .
