carolus linnaeus two kingdom classification later it was changed by ernst haeckel (1894) in 1959, whittaker gave the five kingdom classification. Do you think that studying the work done by earlier scientists was or their obsolete theories is useful for the students of this generation? give three reasons

yes I think it is useful for students..
reasons:
1) it will make them know that the classification system can change if the criteria for classification changes, so that it can change in future also
2) it will make them know about the classification history ,about the great scientist and their works, about wrong things so that they will not get confused that why this happens and why thus can't for example: if they don't know about old systems then it might be happen that they ask why bag is not algae and fungi is not in plants bcz there are some similarities among them...
3) They can compare the new system with the previous ones, like that was mistakes and that was goodness and all
4) Our earlier scientists have done a lot of work on them, yes it is not that great but yes they are the link and they first tried to start. so it is necessary to read about there work at least for giving them and their work some respect
