SOLUTION :

 \\  \\

Given :-

 \\

  • Carriage expenses paid = Rs. 18000

  • Proportion of carriage inward and carriage outward = 4 : 5

 \\

To Find :-

 \\

  • Amount of carriage outward = ?

 \\

Calculation :-

 \\

Suppose,

  • The constant is = x

 \\

Hence,

  • Amount of carriage inward = Rs. 4x

  • Amount of carriage outward = Rs. 5x

 \\

According to question,

 \\

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \sf{ \large{ \: 4x + 5x = 18000 \: }} \\  \\  \sf{ \large{ \implies \: 9x = 18000 \: }} \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\  \\  \sf{ \large{ \implies \: x =  \dfrac{18000}{9} \: }}  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\  \\  \sf{ \large{ \therefore \: x = 2000}}

 \\

Putting the value of x we get,

 \\

 \:  \:  \bigstar \:   \bold{Amount  \:  \: of  \:  \: carriage \:  \:  onward  =Rs. \:  5x} \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\ \\  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   \bold{ =Rs. \:(  5 \times 2000)}  \\ \\ \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:    \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   \bold{ =Rs. \: 10000}
