Endosperm is form during the double fertilisation when one of the two sperms enters inside the embryo sac and fuses with two polar nuclei. Endosperm develops before the embryo because the cells of endosperm provides nutrition to the developing embryo.

Answer:

The development of endosperm precedes that of the embryo in angiosperm seeds, because the endosperm cells provide nutrition to the developing embryo. In mature albuminous seeds, endosperm exists as storage tissue. It stores starch and fat.
