Answer:

Ans 1

The three sources of information about the price of the pullover were

(1) at the counter - when the salesman said the price was 950

(2) Mrs Basu - she said there was a 25% discount by which Mr Basu assumed the price was 645

(3) Cash memo - at the end he found out that he had to pay 1900 which meant that discounted price was 950 .

Ans 2

The main filter involved is communication failure

As there was no proper communication between the three people

They all were just understanding each other in different ways

Like when Mr Basu asked the real price , salesman told him the discounted price as he thought he asked the price which was to be paid . Then Mrs Basu said that there is a discount which Mr Basu calculated on discounted price by thinking it's the real price. So there was no proper communication between them which caused the communication failure.

Ans 3

Instead of asking for the price , Mr Basu should have himself checked the price on the price tag and calculate the discounted price . He shouldn't have asked at the counter or listened to Mr Basu because they didn't tell the actual price of the pullover.

Ans 4

Mr Basu is to be blamed for this as the salesman agreed that the price is 950 which he meant was the discounted price not the real price and Mrs Basu told him that there is a 25% discount on pullovers and Mr Basu without checking the real price assumed the discount on 950 which was the discounted price
