This is an account by Mr. Vilas Krushna Naik from Sindhudurg, India (who has been doing spiritual practice under the guidance of His Holiness Dr. Jayant Athavale). He was the victim of attempted spontaneous human combustion by negative energies.

On the 1st of April 2004, I went to bed at around 1 am. I was quite tired and immediately fell asleep. At around 3.30 am, I suddenly woke-up coughing and feeling a lot of heat on my body. In my sleepy state, I became aware that the sheet covering me had caught fire and that I was enveloped in flames. I immediately jumped up and threw the covering sheet off my body and then tried to extinguish the flames by pouring water on the sheet.

I could not understand how the sheet had caught fire as there was nothing around that could have caused the fire. It is a miracle that I myself sustained no injury, not even the slightest burn.
