The correct options are (a) ii,  (b) iii,  (c) i,  (d) ii.

Given:

The list of Ashima's shopping

Item          Cost per kg                 Qty                       total

1) Potatoes           ₹ 40.50                 2 kg

2) Onions             ₹ 20.70                  5 kg                    ₹ 103.5

3) Mustard           ₹ 15.00                                            ₹ 45.00

4) Dal                    ₹ 25.60                  3 kg

5) Dry Chilli          ₹ 32.80                  1 kg

To find:

(a) What was total price of potatoes ?

(b) How much of Mustard was Ashima supposed to get ?

(c) Total cost of Dal that she bought ?

(d) What is the total amount that she had to give?

Solution:

(a) What was total price of potatoes ?

Given cost of 1 kg potatoes = ₹ 40.50

The amount potatoes that she bought = 2 kg

⇒The total price of 2 kg potatoes  = 2 × ₹ 40.50 = ₹ 81

Total price of potatoes = ₹ 81

(b) How much of Mustard was Ashima supposed to get ?

Cost of 1 kg Mustard = ₹ 15

The cost of Mustard that she bought = ₹ 45.00

The amount of Mustard = ₹ 45.00/ ₹ 15 = 3 Kg

The amount of Mustard that Ashima will get = 3 Kg

(c) Cost of total Dal supposed to get ?

Cost of 1 kg Dal = ₹ 25.60

The amount of Dal that she bought = 3kg

Total cost of 3 kg Dal = ₹ 25.60 × 3 = ₹ 76.80

Total cost of Dal that she bought = ₹ 76.80

(d) What is the total amount that she had to give?

The total amount that she had to give

= Total cost (Potatoes +Onions + Mustard + Dal + Dry chill )

[ Here, the total cost of Dry chill = ₹ 32.80 ]

= ₹ 81 +  ₹ 103.5  +  ₹ 45.00 + 76.80 + ₹ 32.80

= ₹ 339 .10

Therefore, The correct answers are (a) ii,  (b) iii,  (c) i,  (d) ii.
