The transport company has been operating as an independent trucking firm since 1995. The firm located in west Bengal contracts with a local meat packing company to transport meat to major population centers in Northern India. Since the trucks are refrigerated the firm has obtained contracts to ship vegetables for Northern India to West Bengal on the return route. The firm has 20 trucks and approximately 50 employees. Business is fairly steady and profits have increased on average of 10% annually.Nearly, Calcutta commercial college has been in operation since 1965. There are 1500 students. The college is located in a major town in West Bengal. It is financed by the state and local funds. There are 85 professors and over 50 non teaching employees. Tuition covers approximately 20% of the educational cost for each student.
