CASE STUDY1-Riana has just passed her 12th standard exams and she wants to go to Delhi for further studies. However, her parents do not want to send their daughter to Delhi because they do not want Riana to stay in Delhi on her own. She knows that she could get enrolled in a good college in Delhi but her parents are not willing to send her. 1.Identify if the given case study is as an example of stereotype, prejudice or discrimination? 2.Why do you think Riana's parents don’t want her to live in Delhi on her own? 3.Do you think they would have been willing to send Riana to Delhi if she was a boy? Why? 4. Can you advice Riana about how she might be able to convince her parents about going to Delhi for further studies?

Riana's parents would have thought that she is too small to travel to another place and live on her own.but however in most of the indian families, this problem arrises due to the gender bias.people think that this society is not so safe for girl children nowadays, their point is actually valid.but on the other hand it's all about Riana's carrier.her parents may trust the institution that she is applying for and also can make a trustworthy gaurdian in that place.
in general this case is about discrimination.
