I am Priya, a resident of Vivekananda street, Adyar, Chennai. I am writing to notify you about the rising incidence of minors driving vehicles and causing accidents in my street.
My street is home to twenty families, of which more than 50 percent house minors. The rest are young adults and senior citizens. Recently, we are witnessing a lot of minors, with access to vehicles, indulge in rash driving. This has caused more than three road accidents of which one proved life threatening to a 50-year-old man.
We tried talking to the families of these minors regarding the menace, but they were not very co-operative. As a last resort, I am writing to you in hope that your esteemed newspaper will feature this problem and help put an end to this dangerous situation.
Kindly feature this article so that parents and elders are aware of the ill effects of letting their underage children drive vehicles without a license. Strict action needs to be taken against such minors, so they don’t repeat the offence. It will also prove as an example to the other under-age drivers. This issue is not only threatening to the lives of the people on the roads but may also prove fatal to the ones on the vehicle.

I am XXX living in Chennai since I have born. I am writing this letter to you as I didn't get any faithful response form the government regarding driving by young adults who are technically young to drive vehicles in Indian and accidents following it. I have written many letters to the concerned transport officials and non of them had replied. I request you to publish an article regarding this issue and create awareness until it reaches the concerned officials in the transport department and police department.
