1. Executive asked if it could abridge the fundamental rights. The Judiciary said it cannot.

2.Government asked if it could amend the Constitution to remove a fundamental right. The Judiciary said it could not do so.

3.The Government abridgee the Right to Property saying that it can abridge fundamental right to give effect to Directive Principles.

This was related to the famous Kesavannanda Bharti case.

4.In 1973 vacancy arose for the post of Chief Justice of India. It had been the practice to appoint the senior most judge as CJI. But Congress kept aside the seniority of three judges and appointed AN Ray as the CJI. It became controversial because all the three senior judges gave ruling in against to the government.
