cash at bank.... what is the entry in double column?

Hi Prabhahedi,
In double column cash book, the entry for the transaction ' cash at bank' is
Dr.
Date  Particulars         L.F      Cash      Bank
          To balance                    
          brought 
          down      A/c
Then the amount is entered in the cash column and bank column of the debit side and then continue with the other transactions.
