1. When forced to make a choice, the speaker of "The Road Not Taken" chooses the less-known road because he wishes to be a leader and an independent thinker. He justifies this decision with the promise that he can always change his mind.
2. Later on, Rober frost, the poet decides that he will choose the first one and then leave the second road for next time when he returns. But, his coming back was doubtful. He knew that it will be very tough for him to return back. This was because he knew that the roads lead to roads.
