Chhattisgarh is the only tin producing State in India. Tin ore is known as cassiterite, which was reported in Dantewara district (Bastar district in formerly Madhya Pradesh) by the Directorate of Geology and Mining associated with the lepidolite bearing pegmatites.

Cassiterite is the ore of that metal which is generally found in chhattisgarh state. It is the only state in India which produces the tin.
This tin ore was reported by the Directorate of geology in the Dantewada district which is also called the Bastar district. And it was used to be a part of the state Madhya Pradesh.
