Casteism is there before you were born. th us we may say that India's social structure is based on casteism. According to hypothesis, there are four castes (Brahmin, Kshatrya,Vashya,Shudra) and according to this they have occupations.
And because of this division untouchability, white-black difference, upper caste-lower caste,etc problems arised due to this our country lack behind.
social and cultural life of this period was different from others.They had their own culture and knowledge but the backwards class remain more backward and higher class remain higher.
There was much difference but again we all are Indians and HINDUS also.
Today government is trying hard to remove this difference and helping them to rise up to achieve something.
