Answer:

                Dwindling Caste System

Undoubtedly the social ill of caste system prevailed in India for many centuries, it is dwindling away gradually. It is wrong to say it can’t be eradicated. People from all classes are being treated equally. Besides, the Government’s policies and laws make social equality mandatory. People who dare to indulge in caste discrimination they are liable to be brought to justice.

Besides, people’s perception about caste system has undergone a substantial change. Recently in my relative’s family out inter-caste marriage was fixed. This is an indication that caste system is dwindling away. Increasing literacy rate, with more and more people getting educated, caste system has become quite weak.

In conclusion it can be said caste system is dying its natural death.

The caste system in India is the paradigmatic ethnographic example of caste. It has origins in ancient India, and was transformed by various ruling elites in medieval, early-modern, and modern India, especially the Mughal Empire and the British Raj.[1][2][3][4] It is today the basis of afirmative action programmes in India.[5] The caste system consists of two different concepts, varna and jati, which may be regarded as different levels of analysis of this system.
