In Old age or certain disorders such as diabetes, the eye lens gets damaged.

When the eye lens becomes opaque or cloudy ☁ causing a blurred image, that effect is known as Cataract . Cataract can be treated by some type of eye surgery in which original lens(defective) is is replaced to an Artificial lens.

and this process is very painful and dangerous....
