Q -> Cations are Ca²⁺ and Cu²⁺ and anions are O²¯ and (NO₃)²¯.

the incorrect formula formed by above ions is... A)CaO B) Ca(NO₃)₂ C) CuO D) CuNO₃

Solution : we know, cation and anion are formed ionic bond. If +n charge on a cation A and -m charge on anion B then, chemical formula of ionic compound is A_mB_n

Here, Cation Ca²⁺ and anion O²¯ combine to form compound Ca₂O₂ = CaO , so option (A) is correct.

Similarly, Cation Ca²⁺ and anion NO₃²¯ combine to form compound CaNO₃, option (B) is incorrect

Cation Cu²⁺ and anion O²¯ form CuO, option (c) is correct.

Cation Cu²⁺ and anion NO₃²¯ form CuNO₃ , option (d) is correct.

therefore option (b) is incorrect.
