Sandfly fever, also known as phlebotomus, pappataci, or 3-day fever, is an arthropod-borne febrile disease transmitted by phlebotomine sandflies.

Although the disease is not frequently associated with mortality and residual sequelae, it is a highly incapacitating and debilitating condition that can significantly affect the individual and the population.

SYPMTOMS: malaise, eye pain, and headache occurring mainly during the warm weather.
