The main cause of Russian Revolution were

1 autocratic rule of Tsar

In 1914, the Russian Empire was tsar Nicholas. he fought a number of wars to expand his empire in the north and West in Europe .he had won the the expenditure of War by taxing the common people in Russia.

2 conditions of peasants

Majority of the Russians were agriculture. major part of the Land was owned by nobles and clergy and the presents were were worked as a farmer on daily wages .they were paid less and work more and sometime under debt, they were not even paid wages

3 status of industries

Industries were found in pockets. prominent Industrial Area was Saint Peter berg and Moscow. craft men under took much of the production,but large factories existing alongside craft workshop ,foreign investment in industries increase with the extension of Russian railway network

3 conditions of workers in industries

Most industries were owned by private Industrialist ,through the government supervised factories working hours and wages for the workers but still rules were broken . women workers were also paid less than men. some workers form associations to help member in time of unemployment and financial hardship

4 formation of socialist party

All the political parties were illegal in Russia before 1914. The Russian social democratic workers party was found in 1898 by socialist, who respected Marx's ideas. But because of government policies, it had to operate secretly as an illegal organisation it set up a newspaper, mobilised workers and organized strikes
