i. Main cause was the insufficient of water resources and disappearance of forest that decreased in the rail fall.
ii. IAS officer Umakant Rao took the help of science and made a farm ponds and he also aware the people about the importance of harvesting rain water.
iii. Farmers helped with the money for plastic lining to farm ponds so that water can be conserved while other farmers was involved in land shaping.
iv. After one year habitats were highly affected by the high level of fluoride and salinity in water mostly in drought area. Bhagirathi Abhiyan was initiated to conserve water.
v. After 10 years many checks dams were constructed to ground water recharge.
vi. In all these state similar initiative such as harvesting rain water during the drought was taken.
