Answer:

Adding or removing energy from matter causes a physical change as matter moves from one state to another. ... Physical changes can also be caused by motion and pressure. Melting and freezing. When heat is applied to a solid, its particles begin to vibrate faster and move farther a part.

Answer:

please lemme know the whole question

Explanation:

still I would explain u why does change in States of matter occur.

when a solid is heated ,its molecules gain kinetic energy and become very active.the molecules try to overcome the intermolecular forces of attraction. So,they vibrates faster and start to move and the intermolecular space between the molecules increases.

when temperatures decreases the molecules of a substance lose kinetic energy gradually and slow down.

as a result, the intermolecular forces of attraction between them increases, and the molecules come close together.

with continued cooling, the intermolecular space decreases to such an extent that a gas changes to liquid and a liquid changes to solid.

similarly, when temperatures increases, the energy also increases.and as a result the force decreases with the increasing space leading the substance to change it's state.that is from solid to liquid and liquid to gas.

here's your answer.
