hey here is Ur answer
ozone is a gas containing three oxygen atoms.
on the ground level it is polluted but in stratosphere it acts as protecting layer.
it prevent earth from
UV rays of sun.
if this layer get depleted then a huge amount of UV rays enters in the earth environment.
this can affect photosynthesis,destroying
plants,decomposer and also cause
skin cancer,cataract,damage to immune system.
to control this depletion of ozone layer
some nation obey the directions given by
UNEP to freeze the production
if Chloro floro Carbon,
which iS used in Ac and refrigerator.

The ozone layer is responsible for absorbing harmful ultraviolet rays, and preventing them from entering the Earth's atmosphere.
Causes of ozone depletion
Ozone is triatomic form of oxygen found in the Earths atmosphere. A combination of low temperature, elevated chlorine and bromine concentration in the upper stratosphere are responsible for destruction of ozone. The production and emission of chlorofluorocarbons ( CFCs) is the leading cause of ozone layer depletion. CFCs account for almost 80% of the total depletion of ozone.
Effects of ozone depletion:
Ozone layer depletion increases the amount of UVB that reaches the Earth surface. Laboratory and epidemiological studies demonstrate that UVB causes non-melanoma skin cancer and plays a major role in malignant melanoma development.
