Gibberellins causes the dwarfism in plants due to the less production of the hormone.  

Explanation:

This hormone causes the growth in stem of the plant and make the stem longer. But if the less gibberellin is produced by the plants then the stem of the plants became smaller and does not grow longer than the usual plant. The plant produce less quantity of the gibberellins hormone due to mutation of the genes in the plant cells.
