Hi buddy

Elevations in airway pressure can thus be thought of being caused byincreases in airway resistance and/or decreases in lung compliance. The total amount of airway pressure delivered by the ventilator to overcome resistive and elastic work is defined as the peak inspiratory pressure(Ppeak).

Hope it helps

Answer:

Bronchospasm, pneumonia, pulmonary edema (including non-cardiogenic pulmonary edema, or acute respiratory distress syndrome[ARDS]), pneumothorax or even significant obesity can be reflected in elevated airway pressures.
