Effective resistance

10 Ω , 20 Ω are in series

R₁ = 10 Ω  + 20  Ω

  = 30  Ω

R₂ = 5 Ω + 25 Ω

    = 30 Ω

R₁ and R₂ are in parallel

1/R = 1/R₁ + 1/R₂

     = 1/30 Ω + 1/30 Ω

     = 2/30 Ω

     = 1/15 Ω

R = 15 Ω

Now effective resistance = 15 Ω + 25 Ω

                                          = 40 Ω

The resistance is 40 Ω

Total current

By Ohm's Law,

V = I R

==> I = V / R

Given :

V = 12 v

R = 40 Ω

I = V / R

 = 12 v / 40  Ω

 = 3 v / 10 Ω

 = 0.3 A

The current is 0.3 A

\boxed{\bf{ANSWERS}}

The resistance is 40 Ω

The current is 0.3 A

Hope it helps u mate :-)
