Letter to the editor about the paperless examination.

CBSE,

New Delhi.

12 September, 2020.

The Editor,

Times of India,

New Delhi.

Subject - Boon of paperless examination.

Sir,

In view of the situation due to COVID-19, this year for the session 2019-2020, board conducted the paperless examination, via online mode. The exam completed successfully on 5 September 2020.

I want to state that our effort of environment conservation has been fruitful. This was possible due to change in the mode of examination, as lakhs of trees that are cut for an equivalent number of students, were saved.

The exam also did not face any major issues with respect to students' comforts. I would suggest other boards and institutions to adopt the method and take a step towards environment conservation, without any compromise with children's future.

Thank you,

Yours truly,

Ranjan Saxena,

Regional Officer,

CBSE,

New Delhi.
