No CD-ROM can only store upto 700–704 MB of data depending upon the manufacturer of the CD. Or they can store upto 80 min of music (approx 12 Tracks) in the Digital Audio format. Dvd has a higher capacity which can be from 4.7GB on a sinhle layer and 8.5 GB on a Dual Layer DVD.
