ndependence Day at NIT Kurukshetra:
National Institute of Technology (NIT) Kurukshetra left no stone unturned to maintain the glory of our national flag which depict our independence from British rule in the mid 90’. It has been noticed that the patriotic feeling among the people has not decreased since the independence. With the same feeling one of the famous engineering colleges, NIT Kurukshetra celebrated the day with much anticipation.
The program kick started with the flag hoisting by Prof. V.K Arora(Director) which was followed by the motivational speech and singing of patriotic song by Prof. V.K Arora and Prof. P.C Tiwari.
The NCC marching in a disciplined manner not only gave the audience goose bumps but the sense of integrity and dignity. Students by performing Indian folk dance, singing and drama, yoga etc. gave it a spark to the patriotic feeling among the crowd.
Also, to mark the pre independence celebration, the institute had organised quiz competition and speech making competition on the topics related to India’s freedom struggle.
