Cell is the basic structural and functional unit of life.

All the processes that are needed by an organism to survive are carried out at cellular level and every organism has cellular structure

The salient features of the cell theory are as follows -

1) Cell is the basic structural and functional unit of all living beings.
2) Every organism starts its life as a single cell.
3) Each cell arises from its pre-existing cells.
4) Cell is the unit of inheritance as it contains its genetic material i.e DNA within its nucleus

Cell is the basic fundamental unit of life from where all the biological processes start taking place.

We have cell as the basic unit of life as cell. a group of cells make a tissue and a group of tissues make an organ. When a number of organs formed combined together they form an organism. And then these number of organisms group to ride a human body
