A cell is the smallest unit of a living being. A living being is made of one cell or many cells is called an organism. Thus, cells are the basic building blocks of all organisms.  Most systems function together to form an organism (like a human being). The cells are grouped into two broad categories: prokaryotic and eukaryotic.
