There are 3 types of cells

Prokaryotic (meaning-primitive type of nucleus)-organisms in which the nuclear material is not bounded by a definite nuclear membrane. Includes bacteria,cyanobacteria. Prokaryotes are placed in kingdom monera. Characterized by the absence of chromatin material.

Mesokaryotic-Mesokaryotic cells are those cells that possess intermediate characteristic of eukaryotic cells and prokaryotic cells.Their nucleus has nuclear membrane but DNA lacks histone proteins which are required for chromosome formation. Eg. Dinoflagellates

Eukaryotic (meaning -advanced type of nucleus)-Nucleus has definite nuclear membrane. Found in Members of Kingdom Protista, Plantae ,Fungi and Animalia
