V = 1.6 V

◆ Explaination -

Current flowing through circuit is -

I = E / (R + r)

I = 2 / (8 + 2)

I = 0.2 A

Voltage across external resistance is -

V = I.R

V = 0.2 × 8

V = 1.6 V

Hence, voltage across external resistance will be 1.6 V.
