The cells are of many different sizes and shapes so that they can perform specific function.
The cells in living organisms may be as small as " millionth of a meter or it may be as large as meter.
Some of the cells which are small in size cannot be seen with naked eyes.
Bacteria cells are extremely small of length 01.1 micrometer and muscles cells are few centimeters long and nerve cell are more than a meter long.
The size of cell is related to ts function it has no relation to size of the body.
For example :
Nerve cell receives bod and transmit messages between brain and other body parts.
The biggest cell is ostrich egg with 17cm long.
