1) A cell is the smallest unit of life, also called the 'building blocks of life' because cells multiply and differentiate to form a multicellular organism as well as give rise to new organism by forming gametes or reproductive spores.

2)On the number of cells, organisms can be classified as unicellular and multicellular organisms. Unicellular organisms are known as singled-celled organisms. They are made up of a single cell. Organisms like the Amoeba, Paramecium are single-celled organisms.

3)Specialized cells perform specialized functions in multicellular organisms. Groups of specialized cells cooperate to form a tissue, such as a muscle. Different tissues are in turn grouped together to form larger functional units, called organs.

4)Form follows function" probably means that the shape and structure of a cell or molecule are best adapted to perform its specific function...

5)The plant cell is rigid because it contains a cell wall that is absent in animal cells. The cell wall is made up of proteins, cellulose fiber and polysaccharides. The cell wall gives the plant cell its shape.

6)A cell or plasma membrane is called "selectively permeable" because it is selective about what it allows to pass through it.

7)NUCLEUS IS CALLED CONTROL CENTRE OF THE CELL BECAUSE IT PERFORMS TWO MAIN PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Contains genetic information for structure, reproduction , development, metabolism and behaviour. ... Controls cellular activities through directing synthesis of particular proteins and enzymes.

8)Plant cells have a cell wall, chloroplasts and other specialized plastids, and a large central vacuole, which are not found within animal cells. The cell wall is a rigid covering that protects the cell, provides structural support, and gives shape to the cell.

7.Answer

Nucleus is called control center of the cell because it perform two main principal two main principal function :

contains genetic information for structure, reproduction development metabolism and behaviour controls cellular activities through directing synthesis of particular protein and enzymes

8.Answer

plant cell have cell wall chloroplasts and other specialized plastids, and a large central vacuole which are not found within animals cells the cell wall is a rigid covering that protect the all provides structural support and give shape to the cell.

2. Answer

All living organism are made up of cells, the cells are discover by Robert hooken in 1665,the silver size of the cells is about 10 micrometer the cells contain cellular organelles that activity of the cell on the number of cells platina organism can be classified as unicellular organism.
