The original cell theory was first purposed by Schleiden and Schwann in 1838. The cell theory is so established today that it forms one of the unifying principles of biology.

\textbf{\large{Cell:}}

The cell is the basic structural, functional, and biological unit of all known living organisms.

The three tenets to the cell theory are as described below: All living organisms are composed of one or more cells. The cell is the basic unit of structure and organization in organisms. Cells arise from pre existing cells. The first is that energy to sustain life is generated within the cell.
