Not all the cells have a cell wall around them....only the plant cell have so....and not the animal cell(the outermost covering is plasma membrane here)..

But in plants the cells can be of different types...

For example sclerenchyma is a type of dead cell that has lignin as its main composition in the cell wall as the function of sclerenchyma is to give a tough posture to plants...lignin is present in the cell wall to make it tough...where as parenchyma whose main function is to store food in plants has different composition of its cell wall
